Metadata must be freely accessible on the internet within 12 months of data being generated, If data is restricted, the metadata must include reason for restriction, Published research papers should include a statement on how and under what terms supporting research data may be accessed., Where research data is referred to in the metadata is a digital object, it is expected to have a DOI, Funds may be used to support preservation and management of publicaly-funded research data., Research data must be preserved for a minimum of 10 years from the date that the researchers privileged access ends, or last time it was requested by a third party, Non-digital data must be stored in a manner that enables sharing, e.g. digitisation, Policy Framework clarifies how Research Organisations are expected to ensure research data is properly managed., Funded organisations must be fully compliant by 01-May-2015
