The Jisc-Approved Transformative Journal List
Transformative journals (TJs) are subscription/hybrid journals that commit to transitioning to full open access. The requirements for TJs have been set by UK higher education (HE) and research institutions and endorsed by the UUK Jisc content negotiation strategy group.

The Jisc-approved TJs list is compiled weekly and the exact date on which the most recent version of the list was created can be found beneath the download link.
If you have concerns that a journal/publisher on this list is failing to meet its obligations as a Jisc-approved TJ, for example through hidden charges, convoluted workflows, and/or unclear author-facing communications, please contact help.digitalresources@jisc.ac.uk.
If you wish to check whether a particular title is a Jisc-approved TJ, you can now do this by consulting the Sherpa record for the individual title rather than scanning the entire list. We have added a new 'TJ Status' field within the 'Publication Information' section of the record, which clearly states whether a journal is a Jisc and/or Plan S approved TJ. If the TJ Status field is absent from the record, then the journal is not a TJ.
