Special Conditions
Access restrictions should not normally exceed six months after publication for scientific, technical and health science research publications and 12 months for arts, humanities and social sciences research outputs., Research publications in Open Access Journals must also be deposited in an Open Access repository in the same way as other publications., Research publications deposited in an open access repository must contain a link from the deposited version to the publication site, a URL/ DOI (Document Object Identifier) must be used.

Notes
- Encourages authors and publishers to license research papers such that they may be freely copied and re-used (for example for text and data-mining purposes), provided that such uses are fully attributed.
- The HRB will not provide additional funds to cover Open Access Archiving costs by pubslishers, although this is currently under review
- Other research outputs such as monographs, books, book chapters, technical reports, research theses, and reports should be deposited where possible.
