How can I submit a funder open access policy?
Sherpa Fact is not currently accepting new funders.
The services provides compliance guidance for the seven UKRI Research Councils, the Wellcome Trust and the Charity Open Access Fund (COAF).
You may submit an update to one of the existing funders from its Sherpa Juliet page.
Do the UKRI Research Councils permit an extended embargo period when an author does not have the funds for a paid open access route?
Sherpa Fact does not cater for the UKRI Research Councils' extended embargo period.
Currently, the UKRI Research Councils' policies permit authors who do not have funds available for paid open access to self-archive under an extended embargo period. UKRI are currently conducting a review of their open access policies and Sherpa Fact will be updated as appropriate when their review is complete.

How do I link to a specific record?
All Fact results have a canonical URL, which is displayed in the Query Metadata section.
All publisher and publication records include a URI which can be used for linking. These can be seen by viewing their records in Romeo or Juliet.
Can I re-use Fact data?
Our data is available under a CC BY-NC-ND licence. For more information, please visit our re-use policy page.
Does Sherpa Fact have an API?
Sherpa Fact does not currently have an API. However, plans are underway for its development.
